Suddenly, I’m an adult.

I went to Lima for a week. When I came back to Bogotá, I had grown up. I had responsibilities. I had things to plan for the future. The future. What a daunting concept. I used to picture the rest of my life as a long and boring series of days where I worked and got money and spent it on stupid things, like impromptu trips and 1kg cereal boxes. Now I have to think more carefully before every new step I take. It’s all so different now. Where am I going? Have I found a path I’m comfortable following? Perhaps. The sole idea of settling is overwhelming. It means saying goodbye to so many other things. I’m not sure what it is that’s happening, but I’m excited.

I’m no longer an old kid.

I guess I’m finally ready.
